Dear Parents

My name is Mrs. Silvani and I wil be teaching second grade in the 2003-2003 school year. I have taught second grade for eight years and feel excited to be doing so again this year. I have some wonderful field trips and projects planned for the year. You will be notified as soon as dates are confirmed.

Our class is studying the Rain Forest. We are exploring what it is, who and what lives there are and where they are located. Be sure to ask for daily updates about our rain forest adventures.

Please remember that homework is an important part of second grade. Each assignment is a review of an earlier lesson. Be sure to remind your child to not only do the work but to also turn it in!
